COACH CORNER

Coaching is a very important and fulfilling role.  Beyond their parents, research shows that the next most important influence on a child’s upbringing is their sports coach.  As with our participants, coaches are learning and developing along their own pathway.  We strive to provide every opportunity for learning that a coach wishes to pursue.  In additional, the NOYSA is dedicated to providing our coaches with the technical and professional resources to succeed in their role.

RESPONSIBLE COACHING MOVEMENT (RCM)
The goal of the RCM is to promote a safe sport environment and support Sport Organizations to proactively and voluntarily take measures to ensure the safety of their sport. By taking the pledge, organizations are making a commitment to ensuring that they have policies and procedures in place that protect athletes and coaches in their organization and sport.

Roles & Responsibilities

Minimum Standards

Coaches are encouraged to register and complete training based on the age group they are coaching.  NOYSA will reimburse our coaches for their Coach Training.

• Active Start is Ages 4-6
• Fundamentals is Ages 6-9 
• Learn to train is Ages 9-12
• Soccer for Life is Ages 12 +

 COACH RESOURCES

The ByteSize Coaching program is a customizable coaching website containing a quality curriculum designed to benefit the players and coaches alike.The target audience is coaches of players from 5 years of age (or earlier) to 11 years of age.
